Laughter is a serious business.
I know that sounds like a contradiction. And I don’t mean to take the joy out of laughter. In fact, I’m hoping to add to it.
In this series we’re looking at the spiritual life as a heroic journey. We’re figuring out what the spiritual hero|ine looks like. First, the Sailor. In the last post, the Dancer.
Now we turn to the Jester. In both the philosophy of Nietzsche and the philosophy of medieval tantrism the spiritual hero|ine laughs. Why?
