.... spirituality for everyone
Spirituality comes in many flavours. There’s the wholesome brown bread and fresh avocado of the yoga and mindfulness crowd, the fully loaded fries and wagyu burger of psychedelia, the vanilla ice cream of religiosity, the austere milk and rice of the monks and nuns and priests.
In my experience as a former church minister and current philosopher, people tend to just pick and choose from this smorgasbord. Some things work for them, some things don’t, it’s a potluck dinner not a 7 course degustation.
I guess this is OK but that is just not how I roll. I like things to make sense, to hold together, to withstand interrogation, and to have real practical utility for solving life’s dilemmas. And if spirituality is something that is helpful and important to human beings, I want to be able to articulate my spirituality in a way that ticks all of these boxes.
